The boxing world was out in force last Saturday night (7th May) at an impressive launch event at the Ridley Road Social Club in Dalston E8 to mark the launch of a new professional Boxing live stream website and commercial management company called www.WPB.media.
There was a very good turnout with appearances from the Dubois family, light heavyweight Idris Virgo, super middleweight Marvin Anthony and boxers from yesteryear such as Jimmy Flint, Rakheem Noble, Tony Velinor and many others.
WPB has it’s website domain at website www.WPB.media.
The boxing marketing company has been launched by Jon Collins and Craig Leese. Whilst pro boxing is not virgin territory for the management team at WPB, it has no past history with any other boxing organisations or management groups.
The company will be offering PR and legal services via sister legal company LIL Legal (www.lil-legal) in addition to the commercial management services.
Significantly, WPB is charging a very reasonable commercial management commission and will also not compel boxers to sign elongated contracts.
Said Craig Leese ‘this policy enables our company to work with existing fight game managers as we are not charging a lot and the services we provide are complementary to the services boxing managers already provide. We are an enhancement. We work for the boxers - not the other way around’.
WPB interviewed Daniel and Caroline Dubois at the event which was highlighted by a superb Caribbean buffet and a performance by the emerging London Electric Blues band.
The company has already set up co working arrangements with several licensed promoters for the road map ahead in a fast moving industry which is growing exponentially by the day.
Any interested pro boxer should either us email firstname.lastname@example.org and/or fill out and submit the electronic form on the ‘Boxers’ section on the WPB website.
